Data Deletion Instructions
Last updated: 24 May 2026
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA), you have the right to request deletion of personal data held by Aarion Labs and Technologies Private Limited (operating the Seyvik service). This page explains how.
Who can request deletion
- Tenants (college admins)can request deletion of their own admin account and the tenant’s full dataset.
- Students and parents whose data has been uploaded by a tenant institution can request deletion by contacting either us or their college directly.
- End-users who messaged the Seyvik WhatsApp number can request that their phone number and message history be erased.
How to request
Send an email to support@aarionlabs.com with the following information:
- Subject line:
Data Deletion Request - Your full name as registered.
- The phone number, email, or roll/employee number used in Seyvik.
- If you are a student/parent: the name of the college that uploaded your data.
- A brief statement: “I request deletion of my personal data held by Seyvik under DPDPA 2023.”
For identity verification we may ask for one additional matching data point (e.g. parent contact phone, date of birth) before proceeding.
What gets deleted
- Your personal record (name, contact phone, parent contact, email, date of birth, roll number).
- Your conversation history on our WhatsApp number.
- Your attendance, exam, and fee records linked to your identifier.
- Any files you uploaded to the Seyvik storage tier.
What we retain (and why)
Indian tax and corporate law requires us to retain certain records for up to 7 years even after a deletion request. These are:
- GST invoices issued to your tenant institution (your individual record is anonymised but invoice line items remain).
- Audit logs showing actions taken on your record (the record itself is deleted; only the action timestamp + actor remain).
- Security incident logs relevant to law enforcement requests (rare).
Response time
We will acknowledge your request within 7 days and complete the deletion within 30 days, in line with DPDPA timelines.
If your data was uploaded by a college
The college is the Data Fiduciary for student/parent data they upload. We strongly recommend contacting your college administrator first — they can delete your record immediately from their tenant dashboard, which is faster than a cross-tenant request through us.
If your college does not respond or refuses the request, you may contact us at support@aarionlabs.com and we will work with the college to honour the deletion.
Complaints
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India.
